In the last 6 months we have spent almost £2,000 in vets bills for various health problems some of our patients have faced. This means that it's more important than ever to spread the word about The Trusty Paws Clinic and to raise money for our 'Vet Kitty'.
We have a dedicated team of Fundraising Managers in Glasgow and London. Here's what they've been up to recently.
Every year, Glasgow Vet School hold an Annual Rodeo in the vet school grounds. This is a fantastic event where the public come to enjoy all things to do with animals and pets. There are charity stalls, falconry displays, dog shows and reptile handling stations. It really has something for everyone. This was the third year that we have had a stall at the Rodeo and it was great fun yet again! Beautiful sunshine and chatting to lots of Trusty Paws Supporters. One of our patients, Tara the staffie, came along for the day and really enjoyed meeting everyone and giving them an obligatory staffie kiss. We were selling some Tug Toys made by some of our supporters which went down a treat. Overall our stall raised over £100 which is amazing, plus we will also be given a portion of the profits made by the whole event!
We also had a stall at the West End Fair where we were handing out leaflets to raise awareness about Trusty Paws. One of our committee members brought along her adorable Samoyed puppy, Simba, who did a great job of enticing people over to our stall with his cuteness.
We've got lots more fundraising events and ideas planned so we'll keep you updated with our Fundraising Blogs.
